Hi, I’m Kiana Davis. I am the owner and designer of Kiki’s Kini’s. My brand specializes in handmade swimwear.

1. When did you establish your company?

“I created my company in July of 2017.”

2. Would you like to expand and venture into creating other clothing eventually as you grow?

“I am currently in the process of expending, I added a vintage section to my website last month and I will be adding jewelry for the New Year!”

3. If you could, what designer would you sit down with and appreciate advice from?

“I would like to sit down with Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman. They are two great friends who own a swim line together. I love how they focus on women empowerment and comfort”

4. What made you want to start your business?

“What inspired me to open my business is the fact that I used to pay so much for swimsuits. I learned how to sew in high school so I figured that I should just give sewing bikinis a try!”

5. What’s a Brand similar to yours that influences you to put out quality?

“I really don’t have a specific brand that inspires my pieces. I use Pinterest a lot, sketch my favorite designs that I see and make my own spin on it!”

6. Name one thing that you absolutely despise about other brands & their bikinis, what makes you different?

“I absolutely despise the prices of other brands. I understand spending $200 for a bikini set if it’s quality and made by one person, and not a machine. My bikinis are under $100 and each and every piece is handmade by me, with extra love!”

7. What’s something that gets you going creatively when working on a new project?

“There are so many things that inspire me to create. Watching Sex and The City, going to the beach, and shopping. I get inspired by thinking about the places that I can go, looking at women’s swimwear when I visit different beaches, and when I look at different displays or fabrics while shopping.”

8. Is there anything you learned you would like share, regarding anything you’ve learned within the last year?

“I learned that you cannot let anything stop you. If you want to create something, do it and don’t let anything get into your way.”

9. Where’d you get your name from?

“Kiki’s Kini’s literally just came to me after I made my first bikini. My name is Kiana and my grandpa used to call me Kiki so that’s where I got the first part from! Then took out “bi” bikini and made it kini!”

Time is a terrible thing to waste.

Now before I get started understand I’m willing to receive a lot of hate in order to defend what I’m fond of, respect me for it! At least I’ll burn with integrity.

We have this weird obsession with blaming time on why we’re miserable even if its temporary. “Time” what is time? Have you seen “In Time” starring Justin Timberlake? Great movie if you haven’t.

TIME is a noun meaning 1. The indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole.2.A point of time as measured in hours and minutes past midnight or noon.

People trap themselves in all aspects of life when they think time has a lot to do with things that have no actual deadline.

Everyone likes to blame the reason they are in a you could say non beneficial relationship on “time”. An Excuse to remain in distress is ” I’ve invested to much time.” even though I understand I don’t think people understand as much time as they’ve invested they have wasted. The point emphasized is that they don’t have time to waste yet remain in a stagnant relationship with no growth, which sounds like a waste of time to me.

Career wise we believe we’re running out of time only because we see it never stops so we must have it all together in a timely fashion instead of focusing on getting it done in general.

We don’t enjoy life to the fullest due to “time” we feel as if we must grow up at a certain speed instead of enjoying time as it progresses, we rush it. Isn’t it ironic we rush to grow up just to grow into feeling like were running out of time even when moving forward in a timely matter.

The only time we admire the beauty within time is when we’re getting off of work, waiting for that class to be over and living legends. People who stand for something wish to live on forever meaning the have outlived time because their words, paintings, music, or fashions continue to stay relevant after we’ve turned to dust.

Uncle Retch

Let’s start by saying Retch is 1 of those artist that deserves all the respect he receives on a day to day basis.

This segment below introduced me to the one and only “Retch”.

The first time I heard the phrase “Finesse the World & Everything in it.” I immediately grew up, mind you I was probably in the 10th grade, but it ended up being a real influential phrase to me I definitely live by it. Retch has kept it straight with us from the time my fanship started, I even did a little snooping into previous years, til now and his tweets & actions keep me convinced. One thing I sincerely like about the man is he practices what he preaches, let alone gives us a little street knowledge in his music. In all he’s what I would consider a honest man, my version of a honest man is he’s aware of everything he does, what he has did, and knows what he’s going to do. Retch isn’t around here fronting for the kids and it’s only right you respect that because he’s teaching us to be aware of ourselves.

As time progresses I see nothing but prosperity oozing out his career which excites me because he deserves it.

I refer to him as “Uncle Retch” for the simple fact he teaches us unknowingly, he’s very generous in sharing the wealth of “Get it how you live” & encourages his supporters to keep going, now it’s up to you pay attention to the game he puts us up on. Yet and still no love lost, even though we don’t know him personally. It’s makes the fans happy to see him evolve into such a influential artist which inspires everyone to keep succeeding because life will always start changing for the better as long as you stay ten toes down, you enjoy it 1000x more as you can see with the visuals he post of quality carefree living.

Accept Accepting Acceptance

Hello! Good morning, afternoon, or evening.

As we prosper we learn to accept the fact that people can & will stress you out while adjusting to the thought that it’s nothing we can do about it. Some people will not see anything wrong with what they do until you choose not to deal with it and even still the problem will be with you and not themselves.

To start accepting the fact that some of the people you absolutely love can be horrendous to your lifestyle can be stressful especially when you have such an over abundance of appreciation for them. Just remember you can’t want to be in someone else’s life more than they want you in theirs themselves.

Acceptance is the finale when it comes to easy living. It’s a thing called good stress & bad stress! Bad stress is stress that doesn’t teach you a lesson to contribute to you not stressing again, while good stress helps you evolve correctly making you stronger in the process.

Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival 2017

Let’s talk about an influential environment, one of the greatest parts about attending this carnival is watching it grow large so beautifully. I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere because everyone you’re surrounded by is so friendly and appreciative of your existence it makes you feel marvelous. It’s like a huge family reunion regardless if it’s your first experience or have been attending since 2012.

Creative freedom is a beautiful thing. We found the time to do something. Some of us might not have socialized or attended a public event all year just because, so making time to travel whether it was from a completely different state or around the corner to take time to partake in happiness is “A” okay. You don’t even realize you’ve came alone in some instances because you form new bonds with the friendly people around you.

Better Days

You know I was told “when it’s going good it might not be that great so therefore when it’s going bad it’s not as horrible as it may seem.” I try to hold onto that mind frame to reassure me better days will come even though it may not seem like it. Just because things were fine and we got use to it doesn’t mean they could not have been better, any struggle is just what it takes to become better.

Optimism is a fundamental but realistically it can be passed as denial if you don’t keep a fine line between what could happen oppose to what is happening. It’s a nice gesture to remain positive though it gives you something else to focus on besides all the negatives around you.

We all go through our own trials and tribulations which is “fine” it’s life there would be no sunshine without rain, you just can’t let your sorrow become who you are because it’ll sike you out and you’ll become use to the unhappiness as if that’s just life and we all deserve a pleasant life.

To lie or not to lie

Now before I get started understand I’m willing to receive a lot of hate in order to defend what I’m fond of , respect me for it ! At least I’ll burn with integrity.

“If you can’t take the heat then stay out of the kitchen.” I take that as don’t ask questions if you aren’t going to respect the truthful answer.

Sometimes lying is an essential in certain circumstances when the truth sounds unbelievable in certain situations.

To avoid all confusion I encourage everyone to adapt to being reasonable, considerate, or understanding. Being able to understand where another person is coming from even if you don’t agree is important, it helps you react accordingly To help one build the assurance that there is no reason to lie.

I’m not giving you the okay to just go test the waters and lie unnecessarily but to help others understand why people lie generally, to avoid controversy.

It’s so many aspects to weigh regarding why a lie was told. I suggest you consider if you’re as open minded as you claim to be. Maybe they want to sound like the ultimate flawless friend, family, or love. The possibilities are endless just as long as you understand you’re an influence on why.

1. FRIEND TRIP

In celebration of a birthday, we drove from California to Laughlin, Nevada into Bullhead City, Arizona a Bit Back to Nevada ending in Las Vegas.

Day 1: Consisted of a 3-4 hour car ride to Laughlin, Nevada full of horrible friend car karaoke, exploration of the hotel a friendly dinner and a night swim.
